New York Times: U.S. Says Iran-Supplied Bomb Kills More Troops (8/8/07) by Michael R. Gordon

A front-pager accusing Iran of supplying a popular type of roadside bomb to Shiite militants in Iraq contains absolutely nothing new. But what's interesting is that Gordon is forced to insert a graph saying some people disagree with the official judgment. His arm is being twisted, so he attributes partisan motivation to their skepticism in order to undermine it:
Some critics of Bush administration policy, saying there is no proof that the top echelons of Iran's government are involved, accuse the White House of exaggerating the role of Iran and Syria to divert attention from its own mistakes.

Yes, "critics" of a White House that has lied about any number of things suspect they're lying about this, too. Even the secretary of defense has voiced uncertainty about the origins of these weapons—apparently he's a critic of the White House too?
