MaxSpeak, You Listen!: Meanwhile, Back at the Flashpoint... (10/3/06) by Seth Ackerman

Extra! contributing writer Ackerman combats the mainstream media skew toward Bush-friendly views of the Middle East.
On Sunday, the New York Times treated us to the latest in its crappy reporting on the Palestinian talks for a unity government.... How many times have we been told that the Lamontofascists, in all their shrillness, have failed to demonstrate “serious thinking” about the long-term problems of terrorism and the Middle East? Well, solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is without doubt the single most promising avenue in that direction. And the Bush administration...is, in this respect, shitting the bed. The irony is that since Hamas’ election in January, the feasibility of a durable settlement has increased.... So why then is everything in such a wretched mess, as the Times so ably—one might say gleefully—documents in its latest stenography for Condoleeza Rice? Basically because the Bush administration is doing everything it can to block the way.
