Financial Times: Murdoch to Host Fundraiser for Hillary Clinton Campaign (5/9/06) by Caroline Daniel

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch—whose New York Post newspaper "ran unflattering pictures [during Clinton's first Senate campaign], and frontpage headlines pleading: 'DON'T RUN'"—now fosters close relations with the powerful politician. A media lobbyist is quoted as saying "Hillary is the future and what savvy businessman would not want to put a line of interest in someone who will be the future?" One answer might be a media business owner who wishes to avoid compromising the integrity of his news outlets.
