The Government Accountability Office has found numerous Bush administration violations of the federal law forbidding the funding of "covert propaganda” with U.S. tax-dollars, but Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and the Department of Justice refuse to prosecute.If the White House indeed broke the law, it’s incumbent upon DOJ to prosecute the crimes. Without legal action, an emboldened White House will continue to throw up obstacles to full disclosure and create propaganda that pushes Bush’s political bromides on unsuspecting viewers.
