Tapped: MSNBC: Worse than Fox? (10/13/04) by Ayelish McGarvey
Chris Matthews allows Andrea Mitchell to say that Kerry "pandered" when he criticized Fed chair Alan Greenspan's support of Bush's tax cut--without ever mentioning the conflict of interest inherent in the fact that Greenspan is Mitchell's husband. Plus What's a Few Trillion Between Friends?, by Matthew Yglesias (Tapped, 10/13/04). A New York Times story says that Bush and Kerry's budget plans are roughly equivalent at about $1 trillion--while burying the fact that these figures do not include an additional $1 to $2 trillion dollars for Bush's Social Security privatization plan. Could it be because the story's main source is the Concord Coalition--which supports Social Security privatization?
