Media Outlet / Personality: GE

GE acquired NBC networks in 1985. It owns MSNBC (a partnership with Microsoft), CNBC, USA Networks, Bravo, and eight television channels in Europe and Latin America. In 2003, GE acquired major ownership of Vivendi's holdings in Universal pictures and its television stations, thus creating NBC Universal.
