Public support for the Afghanistan war continues to drop.
Casualties mount.
So why is NBC's Meet the Press giving viewers a parade of hawkish pundits and military officials?
If you haven't already done so, please join FAIR's call to broaden the debate on the war on the most-watched Sunday morning chat show.
And while you're at, RethinkAfghanistan is asking people to sign a petition to CBS anchor Katie Couric to ask tough questions of Gen. David Petraeus.

[...] Open up the Afghanistan War Media Debate [...]
MSM is the Corporate Media. Keyword: Corporate! The military-industrial corporate complex, as President Eisenhower warned.
Unfortunately, even PBS evening news has not done a good job of including anti-war critics to join the Afghanistan War debate.
The Media could not ask a certain community activist any tough questions during a certain election, and you expect them to ask a general about the downside of a war he is fighting?
people are stupid
Today we held our Primaries [as in Hail Marys] here in AZ, I unwisely bought a house here [AZ:politics absolutely sukkkk] last year and always vote in the primaries if only in opposition to the extremists who always vote for whichever liar they choose to place on OUR general election ballot. The first thing that scorched my ethical standards [and continues to burn] is the polling/voting site where I was assigned to go to was in fact a church {I'm strongly in favor of separation of church & state} this in itself violates my rights.
The second 'act' of transgression was that one of the republican't candidates opposing John 'no-brain' McCain had his campaign signs posted right in front of that church-voting site; I immediately phoned the AZ elections commissars and voiced my 'concerns' regarding both of the above matters and as usual was transferred from one idiot to another, when the third idiot failed to do anything to resolve those issues, I gave her my name and told her I was removing the signs–which I did. I then gave the poll 'keeper' my name and where I live while she was answering a cellphone call from the 'helpful' woman I had last talked with. I took the signs and carefully placed them away from the voting site. I then explained to both ladies that Constitutional [U.S.] amendments are written so as to protect the rights of citizen voters and that political candidates have no constitutional protections in such matters. I really don't expect any retaliatory acts but if so—I can handle it.
