Under Meacham's editorial lead, Newsweek keeps reminding us that our country needs to be governed from the center and that it leans "middle-right." Since Anna Quindlen retired from her Newsweek column, there is no reliably progressive voice in the magazine. If Newsweek is the "liberal media," we are all in trouble.

It was quite a shock to hear Jon Meacham cheerlead for a man who helped to bring about the brutal deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocents. He has much blood on his hands, and the thought of him being the leader of this country, and therefore, the commander in chief of the armed forces, sends a chill down my spine. The fact that Meacham supports him only reinforces my decision to cancel my Newsweek subscription. This is not the first time that Jon Meacham has shown his partiality for the rich elite Republicans, and it certainly won't be the last.
