Media to Obama: Less Talk, More War
11/16/2009 by Peter HartFrom ABC World News, 11/11/09:
CHARLIE GIBSON: We understand he's raising new questions about a number of plans that are in front of him. What new questions are there to be asked after all this time?
MARTHA RADDATZ: Well, you would think he'd be through with the questions, Charlie.
Doyle McManus, Los Angeles Times (11/15/09):
Barack Obama is in danger of giving deliberation a bad name.
David Broder, Washington Post (11/16/09-- headline: "Enough Afghan Debate")
It is evident from the length of this deliberative process and from the flood of leaks that have emerged from Kabul and Washington that the perfect course of action does not exist. Given that reality, the urgent necessity is to make a decision -- whether or not it is right.

Tonight's ( 11/20/09 ) " Bill Moyers Journal" program on KQED public tv consisted of an hour of recorded phone conversations between President Lyndon Johnson and his advisors and information sources during our ill-fated Vietnam conflict. Johnson faced the same problems that Obama faces now, and the urging of politicians, military leaders, and the country at large, to make a quick decision on the course of action was as strong then as it is now. Against the advice of calm minds and real experts we kept sending in more and more troops, experienced big losses in troops, and ultimately faced having to withdraw, as was predicted. It seems that we never learn from history. I think that you can view this excellent tv program on http://www.KQED.org and buy a dvd of it, too.

President Obama like President Johnson seems to deal only with military or political needs. The military wants this war to continue regardless because that is their only interest. The generals may show emotion (faked) when they show concern for the soldiers they have to send to their deaths. But they continue to do so even when they have doubts about the successful outcome of these wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why does not one of them strongly suggest to withdraw all the troops and to end the slaughter there?? Simply said that is the job of the generals. To make WAR. And they love their job. All through the generals education and experience they have been taught the Art of War. And the act of killing. But to invade foreign countries because of lies stated by our government is horrific and the ones responsible should be tried for murder. Including former President Bush and all of his ex-cabinet members.
Politically President Obama is truly afraid of the Republicans. He is afraid to do what he knows is right and end these wars now. Funny, about politicians, once they are elected to office they think only of re-election and very little else. I can sympathize with Mr Obama, because that is the job of the politician; to become elected. But he must have an over-riding concern for the soldiers he is commander-in- chief of and the populations of the countries he is making war on. He must realize that the wars being waged now is futile and have no possible chance of seeing any of goals set by the GENERALS succeeding. The U.S. and its allies have been in Afghanistan for eight bloody years and as in Viet Nam we can only lose.

Obama is taking away the first amendment whis is free speech, press, etc. He's doing this by contrlling all media. Fisrt americans lose their minds by voting a socialist in office and now were losing our freedom…thanks!! I can only pray and stand up for what's right and what obama is doing is Wrong! Anyways God bless us all! Long live freedom.
