		<description>This is why the right-wing media was inoculating its listeners with talk about the Fairness Doctrine early in the Obama administration. They&#039;re playing a pretty good game of chess with this... Set up the Fairness Doctrine as evil communist oppression or something, do it early on, and do it in order to give cover to future excesses.

Also, cable TV doesn&#039;t fall under FCC rules the same way broadcast TV does. The premise of a citizen-owned frequency spectrum doesn&#039;t map to cable, where the provider owns the medium. Beck and Dobbs, of course, exist over cable.</description>
