CBS Re-Airs Drone Propaganda

08/18/2009 by Peter Hart

Back in May, CBS' 60 Minutes aired a terrible report on the Air Force's use of drones in Afghanistan and Pakistan-- see FAIR's action alert for all the details. CBS never responded to the criticism, but they did re-air the segment this past Sunday, without any major changes. To let CBS know how you feel about this one-sided reporting, here's the contact info:

I saw the report and I didn't think of it as propaganda. I thought it was a fascinating piece about the role of modern technology in 21st century warfare.

  2. Robert Says:

I could see it as propaganda. It's pretty clear they wanted to sell this military gadget to the public. They only focused on the criticism and some of the deaths to Afghans for like ten seconds. The rest was pretty self-serving.
