They could care less about the truth. They want "results" ... i.e., confessions and the "right" answers to their questions ... and torture is the most "efficient" way to obtain those. That's why they do it, isn't it? And whether Taylor does or doesn't believe that torture "works", don't you think that just who's being forcefed or waterboarded or worse has the most bearing on his position on the issue?
