		<description>Unfortunately, I don&#039;t know that Obama needs much &quot;encouragement&quot; from the corpress to renege on his promises.  He seems pretty goddamn disposed to doing that on his lonesome, doesn&#039;t he?

In addition to never having uttered the words &quot;poor people&quot; during the campaign (and perhaps during his time in the Senate) to my knowledge, how many times did the term &quot;labor unions&quot; cross his lips ... aside from when he was seeking their votes?

Chalk it up to the audacity of false hope.

I just hope that whatever positive change he is forced by dire circumstances to push for (while seeking to limit it as much as he possibly can) isn&#039;t celebrated as proof of his &quot;progressive vision&quot;.

That plea will fall on deaf ears at MoveOn et al, I&#039;m certain.</description>
