Explicit or implicit, the results are pretty much the same, aren't they? Until Palestinians are presented as human beings who love *their* kids and want to live in peace ... without sacrificing their rights in order to do so ... they will always be seen by Americans as "the other". Well, most US reporters might not *say* the same thing about Israel … but the way they report on the conflict lends legitimacy to those who espouse violence against Palestinians, don't you think?

Explicit or implicit, the results are pretty much the same, aren't they?

Until Palestinians are presented as human beings who love *their* kids and want to live in peace … without sacrificing their rights in order to do so … they will always be seen by Americans as "the other".
