Media Outlet / Personality: Pacifica

Pioneering the listener-supported community radio station model, Pacifica began as an alternative to commercially funded radio in 1949. The network is composed of five sister stations and affiliate stations throughout the U.S. It is governed by Pacifica Foundation’s listener-member elected national board. It produces Democracy Now! and Free Speach Radio News.
